Perplexity 2027

Perplexity represents a new interface to that challenge. Instead of returning only links, it can formulate an answer grounded in web search, attach citations, continue the investigation conversationally, work with uploaded files, and—through its developer services—become a component inside other products. Sonar Pro is part of that story: a search-grounded model experience designed for richer questions and cited synthesis. GPT-5-class models add another layer of reasoning and tool use.
